Getting Japan Visa



HOW TO GET JAPAN VISA SUCCESSFULLY

First thing I did was read blogs, forums and comment sections about tips on how to get one. For requirements I personally use these modified version of  International Journeys Inc. Who is International Journeys? They are DOT-accredited travel service provider based in Manila since 1967. They are service provider like providing package tour to any destination abroad BUT they are NOT accredited by Japan Embassy to process your visa. Read below for List of Accredited Agencies. 

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
A. Philippine Passport
          - Should be valid for more than 6 months from the date of departure
          - Broken lamination of the photo part is not accepted
          - Must have two blank pages

B. One Piece Picture - Size 2 in x 2 in (4.5 cm x 4.5 cm) with white backgroud

C. NSO Birth Certificate Original (for first time applicants)
          - NSO-certified copy must be obtained within 12 months from date of application date
          - Old NSO copies will not be accepted
          - Exempted if applicant has old/used Japan Visa

D. NSO Marriage Contract Original (for first time applicants & if married)
           - NSO-certified copy must be obtained within 12 months from date of application date
           - Old NSO copies will not be accepted
           - Exempted if applicant has old/used Japan Visa

E. Daily Schedule or General Itinerary
           - Just download and fill up the form Schedule of Stay Format 

F. Invitation Letter from Guarantor (If invited by Japanese National)
           - Must have hand-written signature

H. Bank Certificate (If applicant will shoulder all expenses)
           - If applicant is a student or is a minor with no financial documents, A parents or guarantor 
              must fill-up and sign a guarantee letter printed on A4 size bond paper.
           - You may obtain it here: Guarantee letter from Japanese Embassy . 
               Just look at the sample forms.

I. Income Tax Return
           - If applicant is a student or is a minor with no financial documents, A parents or guarantor

J. Application Form
           - Tip: We chose to use the form given at the accredited agencies. 

K. Bring your complete requirements to your chosen agency.
           - Japan Embassy do not accept visa applications except from the List of Accredited Agencies
              below or you can always check them at List of Accredited Agencies
           - We chose Reli Tours & Travel Agency at Sm Mall of Asia with fee of Php900.00
                



Here are the modified checklist of requirements for Students, Employee or Businessmen. 



IMPORTANT NOTE:
1. All application form, authorization letter and guarantee letter must be printed on A4 size bond paper.
2. Used of Correction tape/liquid is not advisable, always use double line if correction is needed or to erase wrong information.
3. Processing usually takes 7 days. Just call at the agency if your passport was already released. Do not worry because they do not divulge the result via call or text. 
4. Besides from the requirements stated above, we also included Airfare & Hotel Booking receipt for more chances of granting a visa. Thankfully that works on us, we got Japan Visa. yeaaahHH.
